General
Once you have created a submittal package, you need to add lines to it. Each line consists of a Type, Manufacturer Name, a Search Folder, Description, Notes and Documents. To begin, you need to enter the basic information of Type, Description, Manufacturer Name, Search Folder and any notes - documents will be added later.
To begin, press the "Add Line(s)" button (see picture right). You will see a pop-up dialogue that gives you two ways to enter lines.
To see a quick video demonstration of how to add line(s) follow this link: Add Lines
Add Line Manually
You can manually type in and select the necessary information for each line. In the "Add Line Manually" dialogue area you need to enter the following information:
- Line Type
- Folder (which folder you would like the system to search for documents from - used with the "Suggest Document" and "Auto Suggest Documents" functions)
- Manufacturer Name
- Product Description
- Any Notes
Once you have the correct information, press "Insert Line" and that line information will be added to your submittal package.
Upload Lines
To help speed up the process of creating a package, the Submittal123/Lumnus™ system accepts several file types that will import the relevant information (type, description, folder, manufacturer name, notes). Currently, we accept the following formats:
- Agile XML (Acuity)
- Cahill XLS (Cahill Systems)
- Cahill TXT (Cahill Systems)
- Cahill TXT no QTY (Cahill Systems)
- Job Manager XLS
- FlashPRO TXT (Cooper Lighting)
- LICS XML
- OASIS XML (Oasis Systems)
- OASIS XLS (Oasis Systems)
- Submittal123 XML (our own XML schema for upload)
- Submittal123 XLS (our own excel file structure for upload)
- SQU XLS
- TPM CSV
- EES XLS
- Eclipse XLS
To use this function you must setup folder codes in the Docs & Folders section prior to uploading a file. If everything is setup properly, select the appropriate file from your system, select which file type it is (from the dropdown list) and press "Upload File". The Submittal123™ system will use the information from the file to add the appropriate lines and information to your submittal package.
