Of all the browsers, Internet Explorer has the most odd functions and issues. We highly recommend using another browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari) if you can.
If you must use Internet Explorer, there is one setting you definitely want to change. For some reason Internet Explorer by default wants to be able to send you OLD INFORMATION or choose to NOT SEND INFORMATION when it decides that would be easier. Of course, that doesn't work very well when you are using your browser to interact with a program like ours, as you never want old information. You may see signs such as items not updating as you would think they should, changing items and not seeing updates only to see them when you logout and log back in.
To fix this, go to your Internet Explorer toolbar and go to TOOLS > Internet Options. If you don't see your toolbar, also look for a little 'Gear' icon next to the address bar, where you will also find an 'Internet Options' choice.
Click on Internet Options. You will then get another popup screen:
Next to the 'Browsing History' section, click the 'Settings' button. You will get another popup screen!
On this screen, most likely under the "Check for newer versions of stored pages" you will have the "Automatically" button checked. You DO NOT WANT THIS! Be sure it is checked as "EVERY TIME I VISIT THE WEB PAGE" as in the picture above. Again, this is where you allow Internet Explorer to decide when it may bring you back new information or if you want it to always bring you new information.
This one change will help you with many different issues in Internet Explorer. Be sure to logout of Submittal123 then log back in after making these changes.
