General
The final goal of creating your submittal package is to "Build" it. To do this, press the "Build Package" button (see picture below). This will open the Build Submittal Package dialogue pop-up. There are several options to choose:
- Stamps - do you want the system to stamp each page with your logo, type, description, notes and project info?
- Bookmarks - do you want the system to create PDF bookmarks for quick access to each line (labeled with line type)?
- Content List - would you like the system to create a content list with all your line information as a table of contents?
- Coverpage - would you like the system to create a coverpage for you? If yes, insert the text you want to have on that coverpage.
- Use all Pages in Package - do you want to build all the pages into a PDF file, or just some. Choose "all" or select the relevant documents.
Once you have set all the relevant settings, choose the "Build Package" button to begin building. The system will show you a status screen showing where it is at in the process of making all the PDF pages, stamping them, and merging them into one file.
If there is an error in building the package - you will receive an error notice. Contact support for help.
When the system is finished, it will attempt to pop open a download dialogue box. If you don't see this option, click on the text to download your package. Look through the entire PDF to ensure it was created properly and save the file to your computer or network.
Specialty Pages
You can also build specialty pages from this function. You can make a Content Page only in PDF or XLS, for sending to specifiers, users or for internal use. Simply ignore the "Package Builder" options and select the appropriate link. The page will be built and will open for you.
